Campus Resources

This week in class we focused on campus resources and talked about scenarios that could occur next fall. When looking through the list of campus resources Heath and Allie provided I was familiar with all of them, but when looking at the list of scenarios i didn't know how to handle some of them. I feel I need to go more in depth on each resource Iowa State offers. i know the basics of what they do but not everything. I feel by knowing a general background f each resource I will know how to handle any situation that might arise in the fall. I will also be able to give the students the correct advise and help them out with their problems. I feel this was a great topic to discuss in class.

Teamwork!

First of all, I thought Chelsee and Matt did an awesome job leading the discussion! There game really helped explain teamwork. I believe Teamwork it key in working with other peer mentors to help students. We need to work together so we can keep consistency between each team of co-leaders, so the students will not get confused. I feel the game was a great way to practice with quick decision you will have to make with your c0-leader. I also like the activity we did with Heath and Allie. I feel it described my decision making pretty closely. Whenever I have a big decision to make I always consult with someone who has experience it already to get their input. My older brother and sister usually fill in this role, I guess you could call them my mentors. I take their advice very seriously, but ultimately I make the decision myself.
